Timeless Principles
Timeless Principles · The Foundations
The rules that hold in every community, for all time.
These are not features of the system — they are the invariants beneath it. Where the concepts are the specific institutions NewVistas builds (banking, residual, the Life Plan, and the rest), the principles are the grammar those institutions must always obey. They fall into four families: how authority is held, how the economy is ordered, how the person is protected, and how the whole pattern endures.
Distributed, bounded authority
→Power split and limited so none can capture the whole.
Principle 1Govern, don’t operateBureaus set standards; Enterprise Owners do the work.
Principle 2Separated railsNo office combines title, finance, audit, and the rest.
Principle 3Bounded officeFixed terms, unpaid, rotating, none superior.
Principle 4Humans governAI advises; accountable people decide.
Principle 5Under the lawNo civil authority; enforcement enters only as a tenant.
The Business Enterprise economy
→Property and capital ordered for shared, lasting prosperity.
Principle 6Title and custodyThe community owns; the Enterprise Owner leases and runs the business.
Principle 7Sufficiency, then surplusNeeds met by plan; the rest is kept, not spent.
Principle 8Access, not hoardsLiquidity is credit on rule, not stored balances.
Principle 9Sale, not inheritanceNothing passes down but memorabilia; Business Enterprises transfer by sale.
The dignity of the person
→Built to endure
→The pattern lasts and repeats without a central owner.
Principle 13Replicate without driftThe whole system is copied intact, never reinvented.
Principle 14License, not ruleThe Foundation supplies tools but holds no authority.
